With a history of over 15 years, the Finnish company ABCrownProducts is well established in Scandinavia, where environmental consideration in the production is an important matter. Founded in 1991, ABCrownProducts' history is rooted in an industrial co-operation between companies taking advantages of local raw material. The result is seen in the company's environmentally friendly manufactures especially designed for developing countries.

Offering among other products blackboards, whiteboards, plastic boards and education supplies for developing countries, ABCrownProducts has been working in close co-operation with several UN-agencies. All products are made in Scandinavia.

ABCrownProducts has been rated in the highest of all seven categories and has been given the mark "AAA Maximum credit rating". This rating is only achieved by 3,46 % of all companies in Finland. We are on the verge of a new era in which all of us - corporations, individuals, national and local government as well as other organizations - can join together to cooperate for the best of our environment. We should no longer view ourselves as separate. We must safeguard our surroundings together.

Environmental care is one of the the core values for ABCrownProducts. We seek to design all of our products for the best quality and with the least possible environmental impact. The materials used should, as far as it is possible, be recycled. Our manufacturing requires a great use of aluminium which can be totally recycled. Our use of UV curing products instead of water borne paints makes the energy consumption less and the painting line much shorter. Additionally the wastage is almost nil, as there is no wastage in roller coater application.

As a part of our strive to shorten the transport distances, the cartons are produced close to the factory. Our Finnish-Swedish carton producer manufactures packaging material under very strict environmental rules and is under careful supervision in the ISO 14000-system. We also want to keep our transports as efficient as possible. If a certain quantity of goods can be transported using fewer vehicles it will be of benefit to the environment.

ABCrownProducts has a responsibility. As one of the main producers for developing countries with its own product development, we bear an important responsibility for reducing the environmental impact of the products. However, after more than 15 years of experience ABCrownProducts has done great progress and will continue working for a cleaner society. Within the limits of our ISO-system we also have a skeleton agreement that demand our sub-deliverers to use environmentally friendly production methods. Our complete organization is built on continued environmental development work.
