As part of the Qatar Trip Generation and Parking Rates Manual, Crown Consult has developed a software capable of estimating tripgeneration and parking rates, transportation mode share, truck trip daily rates and public transport accessibility index for developments in Qatar. The software can be used for single or multiple land uses and is capable of including pass by and internal capture adjustments for commercial land use developments. The software has graphical and tabular displays of information. In addition, the map interface provides access to regulations related to land development and to the original sites used to estimate trip generation rates (for those users with full access).
The Minister of Transportation and Communications will offer a workshop to train its personnel, consultants and developers on the use of the software to teach them how to take advantage of this tool to estimate trips to/from land developments of any type in the State of Qatar.
